Kamdang 2 J. Li 2 INSIDE THE STATS AOD (C) Aaron Fisher reached a season high in scoring with 22 pts. New addition (G) Nick Mui missed the 20-pt mark by just one point in his debut with Audacity. CRB (F) James Li's 22 pts is the most points anyone has ever scored without missing a FG in FBNYC history. His 8-8 FGs, 4-4 3FGs are also league records. MLK HS, NYC -- The Crossbearers got a chance for their first win with what was supposed to be a short-handed AOD team on hand. CRB has held their own against two top tier teams but clearly they're still adjusting. Which isn't easy, just ask AOD captain (C) Len Kamdang who fields his most talented roster yet. Last week it ws suggested that CRB needed a go-to scorer and (F) James Li has been trying to fit the bill. But, this time he outdid himself with a ridiculous 8-8 game including 4-4 from deep. (F) David Li (11 pts, 6 rebs) chipped in a productive game but it was the same story for the rest as they struggled again to contain the bigs of the BLUE League. They  looked to be at their best offensively out in transition, usually beating AOD down the court, but in the half-court, AOD just closed down the paint. With the addition of speedster (G) Nick Mui to their bulky line-up, AOD definitely got an upgrade. Though (C) Yoshi Kagitomi and (G) Andrew Hara were not in the line-up, they hardly missed a step. Rookie (F) Aaron Fisher (22 pts, 8 rebs) was uncontainable by the smaller CRB team and Mui (19 pts 6 reb) unstoppable out in transition. A one-man fast break, he either got a good look or got to the line, sometimes with 3 or 4 defenders on him. The Crossbearers actually shot better form the field but for the 3rd game in a row they were out-shot from the FT line as AOD attempted 37 FTs compared to CRB's 11. CRB had their best moments when they ran, not allowing AOD to set up their D but in the end, so they should keep doing that but this time AOD was just too big to handle. -- Charles Bok Lee
