C. Stevens (BTR) F | 6-3 | 195 lbs Week 3 Stats PPG: 20.0 RPG: 15.0 BPG: 2.0
The 2nd week in a row "Pogo" gets the honors, he looked unstoppable vs. the Fury who switched multiple defenders on him to no avail. Maybe they should have tried doubling the 2K6 MVP. Pogo's 20 pts and 15 rebs were both season-highs.
B. Takenouchi (DLE) G | 5-10 | 155 lbs Week 3 Stats PPG: 26.0 APG: 6.0 SPG: 4.0
Dreamleague East's rookie (G) Banglee Takenouchi is no stranger to the streetball courts of NYC and in his FBNYC debut, he made Chelsea his personal playground. Converting 10-14 FGs and 4-7 3FGs, "Bang" sure made it look easy.
All FBNYC 2K7 FALL Conference Players of the Week will receive Discorama's LET BALLERS BALL AWARD, good for a little special treatment at the staple West Village record store: 20% off select items at all three convenient locations.

So wait..The Pro is counting for a player's potential to break out in the playoffs to help him in his fantasy basketball team?
I probably know what Stephen A Smith would say, but it probably won't help the Pro's case...
RE: the Pro
Nov 6 2007 11:13 AM
OUCH~!! Man, you gonna let the fans put you down like that? Yo Pro, go Stephen A. Smith on 'em baby.
Re: The Pro
Nov 6 2007 11:03 AM
Yo, you are getting dumber and dumber by the moment! Harris shouldn't even be in the #3 in the fantasy right now with his #s. But look at his #s in teh playoffs???? Yo everyone, do we use playoff stats for our fantasy leagues????? HAHAHAHAHA. I JUST SCHOOLED THE PRO.
re:the pro
Nov 6 2007 11:01 AM
Yea I agree, we are only talking about stats here, and numbers...it does say Top FBNYC fantasy. From what I recall, putting up stats has nothing to do with carrying your team.. I mean, it helps...but i couldn't care less if Harris is carrying his team to the playoffs or not if he was on my fantasy basketball team
the Pro
Nov 6 2007 11:00 AM
dumbass....do you know how to read?
i had him at #3....when the playoffs start look at his numbers.
re: the pro
Nov 6 2007 10:58 AM
You are dumb...we are talking about stats ONLY...Harris isn't putting up STATS right now...isn't the whole point of this TOP FANTASY players conversation? And you have Harris at #1? I point and laugh at you...you just lost some credit man...
the Pro
Nov 6 2007 10:43 AM
you guys really don't know your fbnyc players..hahahaha
harris only carried his team to a championship last season...yeah, that's really easy to do right?
harry lee is a beast so once somebody prevents him from scoring 15 and 15 then start talking.
min park is too new to the league to even put him in the top 10 yet. he's like the kevin durant of the league....
james choi would be my #6 with yy being #7

re: i'll bet
Nov 5 2007 5:04 PM
Dunleavy is having a pretty good start to his season, so maybe this year he actually does break out. Potential is great, but I agree that you can't draft your first round player on potential alone. Tried and true players go there.
Brian Shim
Nov 5 2007 4:55 PM
Yo, that kid was working it on Friday night. He was freaking that girl like he's Filipino.
I'll bet
Nov 5 2007 4:45 PM
That any of you guys that are picking Harris or anyone for their "potential" for that matter with 2 games left in the season probably have Mike Dunleavy on their fantasy basketball teams for the last 4 years. The dude that's supposed to break out every year but never does....Now I'm not saying Harris doesn't perform every season, but if a guy doesn't perform that one season, drop him! And how come no one mentions Mark Yiin? He gives you 3s, Points, and steals..
observations
Nov 5 2007 4:36 PM
GOD got killed by HOP because rich chang doesn't know how to pass out of double teams...9 turnovers and he shoots everytime he gets the ball..share the ball with the guards and maybe GOD makes any run in the playoffs
Jeff Van Ghandi
Nov 5 2007 4:15 PM
Min Park has more double doubles in less games Harry Lee. He also gets more assists, steals, and will even give you a three every so often.
I dont care what Harris has done in the past, hes not making my fanasty list based on his performance this season. I'll take YY instead. It's a close call between him and Rich Chang but Rich really should be score more points in the B and his turnovers this season are out of control.
Choi will give you points and help you out a bit in the assists and FT department, but that's about it.
To round out the five I'll take Chris, Ren and KP3.
2 cents

Who would you want from FBNYC when you go out to bobby's parties?
fantasy
Nov 5 2007 10:54 AM
I understand the KP3 and Min Park picks, both great players. but Min's career is 4 games, i was picking harris and varun more on potential and past performance and capability over actual numbers this season, regardless, those picks are clearly solid as well.

are we back at chelsea on saturday this week and is the schedule going to remain the same?
re FBNYC fantasy
Nov 5 2007 10:52 AM
right now I'd take KP3 and Min Park over Varun and Harris. That's an easy decision.
Number one overall pick if we are talking straight fantasy would definitely be Chris.
re: FBNYC fantasy
Nov 5 2007 10:46 AM
I'd take:
1) Harris (on potential not this year's performance - blocks, 3's, boards, points)
2) Varun (also on potential, double double, blocks, even a 3 here and there)
3) Ren (points, assists, 3's, wont hurt your FT%)
4) James Choi (maybe the Agent Zero of our league)
5) Chris Youn (points, boards in bunches, 3's, might hurt your FT%)

briam shim - he targeted one girl and worked his i'm gonna keep shooting even if i miss but i will eventually score mentality. it worked! hahahhaa
brian sun - he was the surprise of the night...he used his aggressive play and earned my respect.
juggs - biggest disappointment of the night... 0-15 shooting and 5 rejections. hahaha
yy - taken with gf from l.a. visiting but got caught up in taking wayyyyy too many pictures.
austin han - got smashed and kept giving me the finger for no reason. actually i think it was bc we whipped his a** last week.
the entire initial d team who got the free bottle - biggest group of alcoholic athletes in the league.
austin park from res dogs - he's the only normal guy that shows up with juggs and doesn't seem to be macking. i'm assuming he has a gf.
my trophy though for the craziest partyer in fbnyc history is george lee from rts. i don't know how he does it or even get himself home in one piece...

hop 53
team jr 50
besides mid range james choi and too tall alvin i don't know much about the rest of the team. i will say that they can play ball, very well for a free agent team. who is this min guy? kp3 (who deserves the mvp in my opinion this season) usually explodes in the 2nd half of the season and with YY, morita-san, and drew-per trooper these guys are scary.

superbad 39
juggs and co. just might squeak into the playoffs...wait a sec, that means rts, hop, or team jr not making the playoffs...long shot. superbad, you can do it, i know you can...

Here's a non-basketball related post. You know when you need to take a dump real bad but cant go to the bathroom right then and there? Maybe you are in a meeting or are working on a task you cant leave unattended. Then several minutes later you sit on the can and it just wont come out. Push as hard as you might, its stuck and its being very stubborn. And then thats worse is that it affects everything you do afterwards. Maybe you are sill sweating from sitting in an unairconditioned bathroom in a very hot building. Maybe your stomach feels bloated and you cant sit properly. Maybe you wanna go play some ball to prep for FBNYC in a new venue this saturday and feel incredibly heavy. Anyway, I hate that feeling.

The Scout
Oct 31 2007 3:54 PM
The Scout has entered the building.
TAJ vs STR : STR
STR will win b/c they are faster and more athletic. As long as they cut down on 3's or start hitting some of them. (F)Kevin Quach needs to assert himself more instead of dishing. TAJ will be looking to quiet the doubters but this is a tough matchup for them. Seasons over TAJ. What a dissapointing season.
RVD vs RTS : RTS
RTS looked good coming off an almost 50 pt win against the hapless SBD. But who hasn't beat SBD? Oh yeah thats right, TAJ!. RTS wont win by 50 pts again but RTS should control this game. Surprisingly RVD has had 1st half leads in most games they played and at times shows promise of being a decent squad. But no Big Daddy (C)Harry Lee means no win for RVD. Seasons over RVD. *TIP* Pick up a PG
JRK vs HOP: HOP
This might be the real game of the week. Both teams have very similar styles of play. KP3 vs Mid-Range should be a good matchup. KP3 and HOP are more aggressive and more physical than JRK and will win this one. HOP better find a way to stop (F) Min Park who's been on a tear.
SBD vs FML: FML
Superbad is Superbad. They need (C) Jae Kim back badly as well as A leaguer Jeff Moy if they want a shot at a win. FML proved that they can win w/o Chris Youn dominating. Chris Youn will dominate against a small SBD team and Eupil Muhn will slice the Superbad defense. Seasons over SBD. Well FML too, seasons over. No shot at playoffs.
IND vs RGN: RGN
This is the one everyone will be talking about leading up to Saturday. Battle of the undefeated. Should be a great game but REIGN is too big and too athletic for IND. But IND's toughness will keep them in the game. It will be close but RGN will win due to their size.
GOD vs JRK: JRK
GOD coming off an embarrassing loss last week will look to rebound against a JRK squad that hasnt played in 2 weeks. This will be JRK's 2nd game of the day but they proved they can handle that as they beat RVD and RTS a few weeks ago. If (C)Rich Chang has a good game and (G)Ren Hsieh plays, GOD will win the game. Ren vs James should be a good matchup.
So there are my picks. Love 'em, Hate 'em, I don't care. I call it how I see it. Good luck to all teams this week.
