Team Notes
1. (N/A)

ASN

(2-0)

They are the deepest, most balanced team in the league. The Asphalt Ninjas have a go-to at every position. Undefeated so far, beating two teams that were in the championship two season ago, and they haven't even gotten it all figure out yet. This may be the team to beat this season.
2. (N/A)

PRS

(2-0)

With the explosive (G) Chaz Thomas leading the way, Principal Solutions is arguably the most athletic team in the league. Especially with rookie (F) Paul Miller on the wing, too. They aren't particularly tall, but that hasn't hurt them yet, they are feisty on the defensive end.
3. (N/A)

NYK

(2-0)

The Spartans were a few heart-breaking one possession losses from making the playoffs last season. Now, the ball seems to be bouncing their way. This is still a team with a 6-7 center (F) Jin Hong, surrounded by guards. Although (F) Young Song has been an interesting addition so far..
4. (N/A)

BRJ

(2-0)

Their roster hasn't been fleshed out quite yet, but with (G) Morgan Blakely & (G) Duke Stanojevich at the guards, the Broke Jokes could move up quickly. How far they go might depend on how they round out the front court.
5. (N/A)

DYN

(2-0)

The four-time former champs are going under a different team name, but the faces are all the same. (F) Youssef Hulse looks as good as ever, though he is nursing a sore knee. In fact, everyone on the roster is ailing in some way, mostly old age. They'll need a big season from (C) Reid Wittman.
6. (N/A)

BBR

(1-2)

Some new faces on the roster, and it might take some time for them all to mesh, but this is as balanced a roster as ASN. They have solid bigs led by (F) Sam Marshall, and plenty of options in the back court. Chemistry is key.
7. (N/A)

MWW

(1-2)

Meta World War looked good in their opener, but in their last two games, they've looked a step slow. MWW (F) Stedford McCleod might be the biggest mismatch in the post in Premier, but MWW has 6 players over the age of 30, which has started taking its toll on defense late in games.
8. (N/A)

MEN

(1-1)

With a solid win over the defending champs in their belt, Menergy has played better than perhaps they might look. But, as a new team, it will take some time to figure out where they really stand. One thing is for sure, they're not intimidated by any team, they come to play.
9. (N/A)

BOO

(0-3)

They probably shouldn't be 0-3, but if the defending champs play too many more without (F) Nate Jones this is where they might stay. (F) Jake Moreno & (G) Jack Delighter have stepped it up, but so far it hasn't been enough.
10. (N/A)

MON

(0-3)

On paper, the Monstars are talented up and down the roster. But it hasn't translated into wins. Balance might be the issue with essentially a roster of bigs and one guard, or maybe shooting. MON has made a league-low 8 3FGs, shooting just 15% from behind the arc.
Observations... Spartans and Monstars are on opposite day... Chaz "World Class" Thomas is looking as spry as ever... don't let Arjun Ohri start making shots though... there was a Reid Wittman sighting last week... DYN needs more... Jack Delighter aka "Simple Jack" keeping it simple and effective... Stedford McCleod aka "Gamera"... post-90s babies Google it... Duke Stanojevich aka "Stankonia"

Hulse had another one of those days where he just couldn't miss. Defenders draped all over him, he still hit shots. DYN is nearly impossible to beat when Hulse is shooting like this.

R-Up: Morgan Blakely (BRJ) 33 pts, 9 reb, 3 ast
The Sam Lo Award for Hustlers

J. Moreno (BOO) 14 reb, 3 stl, 1 blk

Moreno did just about everything he could do for BOO, scoring 23 pts as well, but they still fell short. A heart breaker for the defending champs.

R-Up: Kareem Merrick (MWW) 9 reb, 2 stl, 3 blk
Wat Misaka Defensive Player of the Week

C. Thomas (PRS) 8 reb, 2 stl, 5 blk

Get used to it, you're gonna see a lot of Thomas in this box. No player can cover as much ground as he does in the Premier.

Spot Dessert Bar™ Rookie of the Week

Paul Miller (PRS) 20 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast

Miller scored a season-high by going what looks to be his bread & butter, transition offense. His ability to finish tough shots is a big asset for PRS.

Runner-Up: Pat Spitler (MWW) 14 pts, 8 reb, 5 ast

The "John Starks" Award

K. Gregory (MON) | 4-14 FGs (.286)

A tough night for Gregory who had to face PRS (G) Chaz Thomas. Gregory didn't get many open looks in this one, and never quite got it going.

Dishonorable Mention: Arnell Milton (ASN) 3-11 FGs
The "John Starks" Award

C. Lemoine (MON) | 1-10 FGs (.100)

It's a shame to see the Monstars' big man struggle from the line like this, especially when he's playing so well otherwise. They need these FTs.

Dishonorable Mention: Reid Wittman (DYN) 0-4 FTs
