Fall 2015 Premier Division Power Rankings - Week 4
Rank Team Record
Team Notes
1. (=)

MWW

(4-0)

Meta World War held serve by staying undefeated with two blowout wins. They are winning on cruise control right now with (F) Stedford McCleod leading the way with 19.8 ppg, good for 3rd in the league. Front-court mate (C) Kwa Brenya is right there as well with 18.3 ppg coming in 5th.
2. (=)

SIL

(4-0)

It's really a toss up right now on which of these two teams are better, MWW or the Silverbacks. SIL is also winning easily right now as no team has really tested their great combination of size, shooting and physical strength so far.
3. (N/A)

DYN

(2-2)

The NY Dynasty still have yet to have a big man show up to one of their games. 6-7 (C) Reid Wittman and 6-6 (F) George O'Garro make a huge difference for this team, but it will be a feat just to get them playoff eligible But they've managed to stay .500 thus far, giving them a chance.
4. (-1)

SPA

(2-2)

A short-handed DYN team played a short-handed NYK Spartans and there were no real takeaways. SPA gets a default bump down just for losing, but at full strength, if they ever get full strength (a problem they share with DYN), this team can be just as much a contender as the Top 3.
5. (+2)

REN

(2-2)

Since bringing back (G) Ian Yu, the Renegades have become a much more confident unit. The front-court of (F) Askia Davis, (F) Eli St. Hilaire, and (F) Nelonte Carlo is very athletic if undersized. And much like their PG, they are relentless in their attack. They might be one player away, but this is no easy out.
6. (-1)

BOO

(1-3)

It just hasn't quite clicked for Boomtowm just yet. (F) Nate Jones and (G) David Mintz have been sub-par for their respective standards. (F) Clint Custer has been a nice surprise doing yeoman's work. He's been their most consistently active player. But BOO needs to turn this around before it's too late.
7. (-1)

FAS

(0-3)

There is enough talent on this roster that they should be better than 0-3, but the Free Agents haven't had enough talent to show at any one time. They have played the toughest schedule of the season so far, but attendance is key.
8. (=)

EAC

(0-3)

Sometimes it takes awhile for new teams to get their footing in the Premier, and it hasn't been easy for Eastern Consolidated, but they did well to hold their own vs a feisty REN team in Week 4. This could be a sign of good things to come.

Pos: G/F Ht: 6-2, Ht: 195 lbs

We expected a closer game than this from MWW vs BOO, but Thomas pretty much made sure that wouldn't be the case. He was lights out all night long and made seven 3FGs that crushed every hope BOO had to make a run.

Runner-Up: Askia Davis (REN) 23 pts, 15 reb, 1 blk
The Sam Lo Award for Hustlers

Alok Aiyar (FAS) 15 pts, 10 reb, 10 ast

This effort was in a blowout loss, but that might make it even more admirable. Aiyar never quit and did everything he could to keep his team afloat.

Runner-Up: Askia Davis (REN) 15 reb, 1 blk
Wat Misaka Defensive Player of the Week

Mike Holsey (SIL) 6 reb, 1 stl, 3 blk

Even in limited time, the SIL big man dominated the paint on both sides of the ball turning missed shots into some very nice highlight dunks.

R-Up: Chaz Thomas (MWW) 8 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk
The High-5 Club

Andrew Ahn (SPA) 12-6-1-1-1
Nelonte Carlo (REN) 16-7-1-2-1
Clint Custer (BOO) 14-9-1-2-1
Jamil Ebo (EAC) 17-9-1-2-1
Arjun Ohri (FAS) 24-6-2-2-1
Chaz Thomas (MWW) 25-8-3-2-2

Spot Dessert Bar™ Rookie of the Week

E. Papanastasiou (EAC) 26 pts, 4 reb

The EAC captain is a crafty scorer off the dribble using his shiftiness and size well to get to the paint. EAC needs some help in the scoring column though.

Runner-Up: Nelonte Carlo (REN) 16 pts, 7 reb, 2 stl
The John Starks Award

David Mintz (BOO) | 3-15 FGs (.200)

When Mintz first entered the league, he looked like a knockdown 3-pt shooter. He shot well and with confidence. It hasn't been the same this season..

Dishonorable Mention: Mike Reding (DYN) 4-17 FGs
The Chris Dudley Award

Nate Jones (BOO) | 0-4 FTs (.000)

In a blowout loss, these FTs wouldn't have meant very much, but BOO players are showing up here more than they would probably like.

Dishonorable Mention: Will Haile (DYN) 5-10 FTs
