Stars haven't won much so you might not know they have a gunner named Keegan Pieri. He's 2nd in scoring behind Will Johnson, and he just hit the game-winner in TOP's first win.

Runner-Up: Will Johnson (BBR) 23 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast
The Sam Lo Award for Hustlers

Brandon Hines (MBX) 13 reb, 1 blk

Hines has always been a very solid rebounder from the guard position, but he posted a career-high in Week 5 in a narrow comeback win.

Runner-Up: Pete Tsevdos (SEA) 13 reb, 4 stl, 1
Wat Misaka Defensive Player of the Week

Askia Davis (MBX) 16 reb, 1 stl, 8 blk

In MediaBrix's first real challenge this season, they needed Davis to protect the rim. His defense in the paint was key to their comeback win.

Runner-Up: Keegan Pieri (TOP) 14 reb, 2 stl, 4 blk

S. McKiernan (GOA) 26 pts, 16 reb

Another big night in the box score for the GOA big man. This was a rout by the 2nd half, but McKiernan gets the nod for a strong all-around effort.

R-Up: Milan Prodanovic (GOA) 25 pts, 4 ast, 4 stl

The "John Starks" Award

N. Martinez (FAS) | 1-13 FGs (.077)

This was maybe the first game that the Renegades looked like a team to beat. And, Martinez didn't shoot well. They needed him in this one.

Dishonorable Mention: Isiaih Reed (REN) 2-14 FGs
The "Chris Dudley" Award

Nicki Athann. (SEA) | 1-5 FTs (.200)

Seamen had way too many chances to win this game, and these missed FTs didn't help. This was bad loss on all accounts.

Dishonorable Mention: G. Lawrence (REN) 0-4 FTs

2K14 SUM Week 4 Power RankingsFBNYC, 7.29.14

Summer 2014 Premier Division Power Rankings - Week 4
Rank Team Record
Team Notes
1. (+2)

MBX

(3-0)

MediaBrix is running opponents out of the gym right now.  Now with a fixed back court of (G) Brandon Hines and (G) Mike Bratton, MBX is an offensive juggernaut. (F) Askia Davis & (F) Jason Crowell still do the heavy lifting, but the addition of (F) Isiaih Reed has made them even more athletic.
2. (-1)

FBN

(2-1)

The defending champs are a bit top heavy. When they're missing either (G) Garrett James or (F) Youssef Hulse, they're vulnerable in their lack of depth. They need another big, and will be working out veteran (F) Ezra Hoover who is returning from knee surgery, and 6-7 (F) Matija Petrovic.
3. (-1)

BBR

(2-1)

They look near invincible when both (F) Will Johnson and (G) Zack Simmons are on the floor. But, take away one of them and Basketball Reasons gets very beatable. They're still a bona fide contender nonetheless.
4. (+1)

SEA

(2-1)

The Seamen are the league's dark horse every season. First, they get blown out by rival GOA, and then they beat BBR in double OT. Versatile forwards like (F) Chris Tavantzis, and a lot of new faces, makes this team tough to game-plan for. They'll be in the mix all season.
5. (+1)

AXA

(2-1)

Team AXA is a veteran group that knows how to grind out wins. They may have lost a step since their glory days, but (G) Sam Deadwyler is still as athletic a guard as there is in Premier. And, (F) Stedford McCloud seems to be finding his stride. Few will be able to handle his physicality in the paint.
6. (-2)

GOA

(1-2)

After an impressive win over the Seamen to start their season, the Herders have hit a wall. The ball is just not falling for them. Hardly time to hang it up, there's still plenty of talent on this roster, and rookie (F) Seamus McKiernan is playing like a beast right now.
7. (=)

REN

(2-1)

Renegades (F) Elijah St. Hilaire has looked as athletic as ever, and he often dominates accordingly. (G) Ian Yu, and (C) Matt Collazo have also been very solid. But, there's something about this team that isn't convincing. Yet.
8. (+1)

MON

(1-2)

This is a roster still in flux--a problem they had last season as well. But, if (C) Chris Lemoine is on the full-time roster, their front-line is all set. Now, maybe add a wing to help (F) Kaylen Gregory with the scoring?
9. (-1)

TOP

(0-3)

The young Top Stars made a significant upgrade with sharp-shooting big (F) Keegan Pieri, but now they might have lost (G) Max Masucci to a wrist injury. Guard depth they have, though. Another big might help get that first win.
10. (=)

FAS

(0-3)

This may not be a kind season for the Free Agents. They just haven't been able to add the right pieces to compete. It's not over yet, and they could still make a turnaround, but this certainly wasn't the start they were looking for. They need a big roster addition right away.
Deep thoughts... Will "The Thrill" Johnson picking up where he left off... and so is "Go Go Gadget"... MediaBrix v Renegades grudge match... "somebody gonna get hurt real bad"... MediaBrix have already dunked more in this season than all teams combined last season... "somebody gonna get hurt real bad"... Seamus McKiernan aka "The Devil's Own"... too much? ...too much... Eli St. Hilaire aka "The Flying Squirrel"... Max Masucci aka "Mad Max"... get well soon.
