ANALYSIS: Audacity of Dope has been on a tear of late, coming off of solid wins over the NY Crossbearers and The Agents, the only team to beat HYP this season. AOD (G) Nick Mui has been an immediate success, making everyone around him better and both wins have come without (C) Yoshi Kagitomi in the line-up. The Hypebeasts survived last week vs. NYF, gutting out a win late as they did vs. QIK. If (C) George Chan has returned to the line-up for good, they could still be the team to beat.
X-FACTOR: Mui is at his best when he has a long-range complement, that being (G) Jason Chin, who is not so coincidentally Mui's teammate on their USAB tournament team. If Chin is on target, AOD is tough to stop. As much as he might not like to admit it, with (G) Sam Jenkins in the fold, reigning MVP (G) Ian Yu has become more a complementary player. But, if he can get it going, HYP is near unstoppable. -- The Jet

The kid is on fire. In two wins before this game, Cho put up a league-high 19.5 ppg, but his career best 33 pts put him on yet another level, despite an L in the standings this week. We have never seen him play like this but we expect even more.

Fisher has come on as a rebounder of late and his work around the paint is polished and effective. If only he could get a few more layups to fall.

Beasts steal one from Fury, red-hot Cho
MLK HS, NYC -- This wasn't a very pretty game to watch for 3 qtrs but by the end of the 4th, it had lived up to its billing.Neither team looked particularly sharp on offense through 3. Points were scrambled together through TOs or defensive miscues.Only NYF (G) Alex Cho looked believable on offense, which should be less and less of a surprise as the veteran guard has been hot all month and has shown no signs of slowing down. His 10 pts carried NYF in an uninspiring 19-19 1st half.
In the 3rd, Cho dropped 8 more and NYF took control of the game as HYP mustered only 5 pts in the quarter. Even former All-FBNYC (C) George Chan, in his first game of the season(more...)
