INSIDE THE STATS CBM (F) Jamal Vanderbilt recorded his 9th career double-double (30 pts and 13 rebs).
BZB (F) Ray Moore surpassed 30 pts for the 3rd time in his career.
FILHOOPS, Houston -- The Beasts came out flat at the start of this one. They were careless with the ball, and the Beaters took advantage. Led by (F) Ray Moore (game-high 34 pts), BZB jumped out to an early double-digit lead in the 1st qtr. He, alongside teammate (F) Jon Poon took advantage of the slow transition defense.
However, the 2nd half was a completely different story. CBM (F) Jamal Vanderbilt (team-high 30 pts) came out and aggressively attacked the rim. Despite a slow 1st half, CBM (G) Bryan Lengoc found his stroke in the 2nd half. The Beasts slowly chipped away at the lead as both players heated up.
Unfortunately, CBM could never quite get over the hump, and contributions from the rest of the BZB lineup helped keep their head above water late in the game.
The Beaters were able to stave off a 4th qtr surge from the Beasts and bounce back from the tough loss they suffered last week. -- the "Jet"
